Asbestos can be found in materials such as insulation, flooring, plaster, textured ceilings, register vents, duct wrap and roof shingles. If you suspect that you have asbestos, avoid disturbing the materials yourself as it can release the harmful fibres. Rely on WINMAR® to coordinate your asbestos abatement plan.

Our technicians are professionally trained, insured and certified to conduct site inspections, contain the area and properly remove and dispose of asbestos containing materials to ensure that your property is safe from any cross contamination.

At the beginning and throughout the removal process, WINMAR® sprays the asbestos materials with a binding agent so that the fibres are unable to become airborne. The material is then removed, placed in poly bags and sealed. Air scrubbing machines with HEPA filtration systems operate throughout the entire process.

WINMAR® provides certificates on all our asbestos projects that are transferable to new home buyers.

Asbestos Abatement

Detecting Asbestos

Without proper testing, it’s difficult to determine if your property contains asbestos. To ensure health and safety, call WINMAR® to tend to your Asbestos Abatement needs. Once the removal and disposal of all hazardous material is completed, we’ll assess and restore your building to a safe and comfortable pre-loss condition.

Dangers of Asbestos

Throughout the 20th century, asbestos was used in many homes and buildings as a strong fire resistant material to insulate against heat and noise. Unfortunately, when asbestos fibres enter the air the particles can cause serious health problems such as mesothelioma or lung cancer.
